Feng Shui Geomacy for Year 2009

Lunar New Year 2009

According to Lunar Calendar, the first day of Chinese New Year has been dated on 26th January 2009 as we all know. However, technically speaking basing of seasonal astrology, the first dat of Lunar New Year for 2009 actually falls on 4th February 2009 (Wed), (己丑年正月初十子时) at 0 hr 52 min, to be exact. In the ancient china, where time monitoring devices like clock is yet invented, seasonal calendar and time were calculated by studying the astrological movement of the universe. The first day of a year will hence be determined as the Start of Spring (立春) by following this observation of sky.

Feng Shui for Year 2009

Basing of the Flying Star Geomacy, the effect of Yearly Fly Star (流年飞星) affects the household fortune significantly, sometimes even "overwhelm" the Household Feng Shui in certain scenario. I have plotted the FLying Star chart for the year 2009 as illustrated.

Generally speaking, you are only required to take care of two of best star numbers 8 & 9, and the worst star numbers of 5 & 2.

  1. Eight (8) White star (八白吉星) - South East location of your house. Try to held a lot of activities at this location of your house, be at this portion of the house as often as possible. You can enhance the wealth energy of this star by having Fire or Earth element here.
  2. Nine (9) Purple star (九紫吉星) - Central of your house. Can enhance the wealth energy by having Wood or Fire element at this location.
  3. Five (5) Yellow star (五黄凶星) - North location of your house. The worst & most fierce star among all the nine stars. Do not start any renovation or hacking work at this location once lunar year 2009. Stay away from this location as much as possible and minimise activity there. Deminish the detrimental energy by having Metal element here.
  4. Two (2) Black star (二黑凶星) - West location. Second worst star among nine. This star induces sickness hence should be avoided as well. Similarly, stay away from this location. Deminish the bad energy by having Metal element here as well.
  • Typical Fire (火) elements are: Red colour; Triagular pointed shape; Lighting as fire material; and quantity number of 9.
  • Typical Earth (土) elements are: Brown colour; Flat shape (anything close to horizontal ractangular); Earth material like porcelain, clay works, crystal, etc; quantity number of 5.
